A thriving and growing trading company is hiring for a brand new Facilities Manager to join and assist with the move and expansion of a brand new office in Victoria. Working closely with the Office Manager, Chief of Staff and Head of IT this role will be integral to the success of the office move and the continued smooth running of the offices over 3 floors.
This is a busy Facilities role with lots of scope to really make the role your own. Typical duties will include:
- Responsibility of contractual agreements with contractors, service providers, suppliers
- Day to day maintenance of the London office
- Renewal of licences and subscriptions
- Budget monitoring and recommendations for more efficient processes
- Emergency contact
- Being hands-on where required
- Project manage any renovations
- Collaborate with Office/desk moves
- Assist IT team with access/security arrangements and workstations for new joiners and leavers
- Negotiate and review business rates
- Oversee company electricity account and ensure best rates are reviewed
- Oversee contractors including cleaners and air conditioning
- Health & Safety compliance and training
- Organise and schedule risk assessments as necessary
- Develop H&S Policies
- Liaise with Building Management on Fire Drills
Successful candidates must have demonstrable solid experience in a similar facilities role, preferably within financial services. You will need to be an efficient problem solver and not afraid to roll your sleeves up.
Essential requirements:
- Solid experience as a Facilities Manager or a facilities-heavy Office Manager
- Experience in a corporate environment preferably financial service
- Ability to multi-task and take ownership of issues to ensure they are resolved swiftly
- Collaborative and team player, who is comfortable in an open office environment with strong communication skills
- Super organised and tidy worker
- Great sense of humour!
